The TeleVueNP127Refractor telescope is a popular choice among amateur astronomers due to its high-quality optics and compact design. Here are some pros and cons to help you decide if this telescope is the right one for you:

Pros:

1. Superior Optics: The TeleVueNP127Refractor features an f/5.5 triplet apochromatic objective lens that provides excellent image quality with high contrast and low coma. This makes it an ideal choice for observing planets, double stars, and other celestial objects.

2. Compact Design: The telescope's short focal length and compact design make it a popular choice for observers who have limited space or who prefer portable telescopes. It is also lightweight and easy to transport, making it a great option for observing at different locations.

3. Easy to Use: The TeleVueNP127Refractor comes with a simple and intuitive mount, making it easy to set up and use. It also has a low maintenance design, which means that it requires minimal adjustments and alignments.

4. Versatile: This telescope is suitable for a wide range of observing activities, including deep-sky observation, planetary observation, and visual double star observation.

5. High-Quality Accessories: The telescope comes with a range of high-quality accessories, including a 2-inch diagonal, a 26mm eyepiece, and a 9mm eyepiece. These accessories provide a wide field of view and allow for high-magnification observations.

Cons:

1. Expensive: The TeleVueNP127Refractor is a premium telescope, and its price tag reflects its high-quality optics and advanced features. It may be out of reach for some budget-conscious astronomers.

2. Limited Aperture: The telescope's 127mm aperture may not be sufficient for some deep-sky observing, especially in light-polluted areas. It may not be able to reveal the faintest details of deep-sky objects.

3. Limited Magnification: The telescope's limited magnification may not be suitable for all observing activities, especially for those who prefer high-powered observations of planets or lunar features.

4. May Require Additional Accessories: To get the most out of the telescope, some users may need to invest in additional accessories, such as a Barlow lens or filters, which can add to the overall cost.

Conclusion:

The TeleVueNP127Refractor is a high-quality, compact, and versatile telescope that is ideal for astronomers who value image quality and portability. Its superior optics and advanced features make it a great choice for observing planets, double stars, and other celestial objects. However, its high price tag and limited aperture may be a drawback for some users. Overall, if you are looking for a premium, portable telescope with excellent image quality, then the TeleVueNP127Refractor is definitely worth considering.

Recommendation:

If you are looking for a premium, portable telescope with excellent image quality, then the TeleVueNP127Refractor is definitely worth considering. However, if you are on a tight budget or require a larger aperture for deep-sky observing, then you may want to consider other options, such as the Celestron NexStar 130SLT or the Orion SkyQuest XT10. Ultimately, the choice of telescope depends on your observing goals, budget, and personal preferences.

The scope features the Percival design with a built-in field flattened and focal reducer. The images are spectacular and is a multi-purpose scope with configuration for serious . The cleaning marks on the outer lens surface have no discernible effect telescopes performance. Included is the OTA, sliding dew shield, and a hard/foam insert Televue carrying case.

The sleeks were determined to be from improper cleaning by previous owner Thomas Benjamin, Telescope Tech, Televue wrote. The cosmetics are pristine, having the TV cream pebble finish and contrasting black anodized focused dew shield. See photos The sleeks are only viable when reflecting a bright light.
