Not perfect, but not bad for a single image. It has been well taken care of its entire life. With its robust construction and user-friendly design, this telescope is ready to accompany you on many nights under the stars. Vintage LL Bean Celestron 21072 Short Tube 80EQ w/ Rings 80mm F5 ST80 equivalent, Wide Field viewing scope in excellent used condition.

I know it says First scope, but Celestron put a little extra thought into the scope when was made for LL Bean. The tripod is reasonably sturdy and sound. It was immaculate when I took possession of it and remains in excellent condition. The spotting scope is mounted by way of a vixen metal attachment.

The focusing is smooth and not sloppy. I think the mount is an EQ2. I also included a picture did of the moon with my cell phone on eyepiece. The EQ mount moves smoothly without grinding.

Easily accommodates the weight of scope without being wiggly legs not extended. The focused is all metal. I am only the second owner of this telescope. And just so theres no question it does include the tripod and mount.

I did grease both slow motion controls and the elevation RA move smoothly. I took pictures down the tube including one with a light so that you can see internal optics. I bought this to use for wide field viewing but came across a ETX 80 the right price and am selling defer cost of.
